This is a full-time, entry-level position within the Finance job function, based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Job Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join the Compliance Team within the Housing Asset and Investment Team. Renfrewshire Council manages a portfolio of over 12,000 properties, which require adherence to all landlord statutory and regulatory obligations.
You will assist the Statutory Compliance Co-ordinator in managing statutory compliance and regulatory tasks related to Housing Revenue Account (HRA) assets. Responsibilities include inspections, service regimes, supporting procurement and delivery of compliance contracts, and monitoring performance to ensure full compliance and risk reduction.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised SQA Information Technology at Nat 5 (or equivalent)
* Desirable: IDM qualification, P405, HND, or relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH)
* Experience in statutory landlord compliance procedures within social housing, especially asbestos, gas, and electrical safety, is preferred.
Skills and Attributes
* Ability to work independently and attend out-of-hours meetings when required
* Effective communication skills
* Proficiency in ICT and Microsoft Office
* Organisational skills and workload prioritisation
* Full current driving licence is desirable
