Job Title: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion support intern
Salary: £23,132 per annum full time equivalent (£23,132 will be pro‑rated for your 8‑week internship)
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (2‑3 days per week in the office minimum)
Contract: Full Time (35 hours per week) / Fixed Term (8 weeks)
Placement dates: 13th July – 4th September 2025

About The Role
This is an opportunity to upskill your knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of English editorial and EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) within the context of English language learning publishing.
As part of this role you will carry out some of the following activities:
* Support the Propositions Excellence team in developing an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) learning pathway, testing training materials, frameworks and review scoring materials.
* Attend EDI content creation groups and contribute to the promotion of the Cambridge EDI/Sustainability guidelines and their application in our products.
* Maintain documentation, report writing and presentations to the Propositions group on recent findings.
* Carry out reviews of our content against the various frameworks to ensure we are adhering to our pledges.
* Review existing content accessibility guidance documentation in terms of format, terminology and clarity of purpose.
* Provide product development support for the Delivery and Portfolio teams on projects during build and lifecycle stages.
* Support the management of individual components or levels of a course in development, as allocated by the Product Owner or other colleagues.
* Carry out editorial tasks, including content and copy‑editing, as required.
* Update or request updates to business systems and product records.
* Check print and digital content at different stages of development.
* Test digital materials.
* Select photographs, including video stills, and provide feedback on artwork roughs.
* Carry out administrative tasks to support the team.

You will be a keen and enthusiastic team member, able to work both independently and as part of your team. You will be keen to learn new skills and try your hand at a variety of different tasks.

Approximate spend: based on a maximum of 3 days in office (2 days will be less). Spend per day: 2 days £5‑£10; 3 days £15‑£80 to £120.

We are a hybrid working organisation and offer a range of flexible working options from day one. Most hybrid‑working colleagues spend 40‑60% of their time at their dedicated office or location (2‑3 days).
