Job Purpose
The Key Account Manager will build face-to-face relationships with the company's largest customers to support them in identifying efficiencies and gains within their packaging and workplace requirements. They will manage their own accounts, supporting the regional team through face-to-face visits when appropriate, overseeing around 80-90 accounts with a ledger worth approximately £2.2m. The role involves proactive growth within existing customer bases and identifying new leads.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure honest, open, respectful communication with customers, prioritizing customer needs.
* Defend and grow market share through face-to-face visits and clear articulation of the Customer Value Proposition.
* Support Business Development and External Sales Teams by identifying opportunities for value-adding visits.
* Represent the brand effectively during customer visits, building relationships based on core values.
* Provide tailored support to help customers optimize packaging, reduce costs, and meet environmental goals.
* Demonstrate teamwork and share best practices within the internal and external teams.
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders to meet customer expectations effectively.
* Drive personal development and foster team growth.
* Conduct regular customer account reviews (at least biannually).
