Are you a patient, empathetic, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Randstad Education is working with a number of inclusive and supportive schools who are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team and help students thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to provide 1:1 or small group support to children with additional needs. These may include:
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* ADHD
* Speech and Language difficulties
* Learning difficulties
* Emotional or behavioural challenges
You will play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
* A compassionate and adaptable attitude
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Confidence in managing behaviour calmly and effectively
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade C/4 or above
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
* Relevant SEN or childcare qualifications are a plus
