Overview
Working closely with the firm’s Senior Tax Manager and Principals, your main duties will involve the preparation of UK tax returns for a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and business owners, as well as assisting with advisory and tax planning work for clients with a focus on recent and proposed changes to tax legislation. You will review tax returns prepared by junior staff and act as a role model and mentor to the M&S tax team. Training and ongoing support will be provided by senior colleagues, and you will be responsible for your own workload while building strong professional relationships with clients to ensure work is prioritised to meet company and client deadlines. There may also be opportunities to learn about US tax compliance and prepare US tax returns, but this is not essential and is only for those with an interest in this area.
About You
An enthusiastic and personable individual who is looking to develop a tax career, you’ll preferably have an ATT qualification coupled with at least three years’ current tax experience. Alternatively, you may be currently studying towards ATT or be qualified by experience. First-class IT systems knowledge/experience is a prerequisite, as is a demonstrable desire to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients in the UK and across the world.
