Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor We are currently recruiting for our client based in Ashford, a well-established organisation operating within a high-value warehouse environment, who are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor to support and oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. This role will involve assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with planning, organisation, and supervision of warehouse activities. During periods of absence or holiday cover, you will take responsibility for supervising the entire warehouse operation. Salary: £31,900 per annum. Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 one week and another 09:30 - 18:00 Key Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient use of staff and space Organise warehouse areas to maximise storage and operational efficiency Ensure all warehouse procedures are followed, including Goods In, Goods Out, Quarantine, and documentation processes Supervise warehouse activities and promptly escalate any issues Liaise professionally with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers Process customer returns (RMA’s) Ensure correct loading and unloading procedures are followed, including: Accurate and damage-free loads Loads fit for transit All driver equipment available Review existing processes and recommend improvements Ensure customers are invoiced for chargeable warehouse activities Allocate work and organise daily activities for warehouse staff Support stock control activities including goods receipt, storage, picking, shipping, transfers, and system data entry Ensure all stock checks and audits (cyclical, weekly, monthly, annual) are completed accurately Investigate and report damaged or missing stock and implement corrective actions Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse and yard environment Develop and support warehouse staff skills Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including audits, inspections, and safety tours Take responsibility for site security Produce inventory reports for customers Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives Support auditors during inventory events Promote a positive, motivated, and efficient warehouse culture Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001) Provide flexibility to support business needs, including occasional work at other sites Key Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-value, high-tech warehouse environment (essential) Strong IT skills with experience using warehouse management systems Proven customer-facing experience with a commercial mindset Good people management and leadership skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Flexible, proactive, and “can-do” attitude Strong organisational and communication skills Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation Experience in warehouse administration and stock control, including perpetual inventory checks and reporting Valid licences preferred: Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Forklift Truck, Powered Pedestrian Truck, and driving licence Please note: As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.
