Role Overview
Our client is recruiting an outstanding and polished Chef Manager to lead the catering operations of a high-profile secondary school located in the St John’s Wood area. This role demands strong operational leadership, exemplary culinary standards, and the ability to deliver a premium service to a diverse and high-expectation school community.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple service points.
* Design and implement menus that balance nutritional standards, creativity, and student appeal.
* Ensure all dishes are of exceptional quality, with consistent presentation and flavour.
* Provide strong leadership to the catering team, fostering high performance and positive culture.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
* Encourage innovation, ownership, and continual improvement within the team.
* Ensure full adherence to food safety legislation, allergen management, COSHH, HACCP, and audit requirements.
* Maintain all documentation to an exemplary standard.
* Manage the site’s catering budget, achieving agreed GP and labour targets.
* Oversee stock management, supplier negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
* Build strong relationships with school leadership, staff, and students.
* Proactively address feedback and implement enhancements to improve service quality.
Skills & Experience
* Strong background leading a high-profile catering service in education or contract catering.
* Excellent culinary and leadership skills, with a passion for fresh, modern food.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, compliance, and operational performance.
* High level of professionalism and communication ability.
