We are a busy, thriving manufacturing facility in the Birmingham area, a market leader with a reputation for quality and innovation.
We're seeking a Senior CAD Design Engineer to join our growing design and development team. You'll play a key role in turning ideas into beautifully engineered products, supporting our in‑house manufacturing process and contributing to the details that define luxury.
Commutable from Birmingham, Handsworth, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Smethwick, Moseley, Hall Green, Aldridge, Hockley, Quinton, Solihull and Minworth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop products using CAD (AutoDesk Inventor).
* Produce accurate technical drawings and specifications.
* Collaborate with production to optimise designs for manufacturing.
* Check technical drawings and support the shop floor team.
* Ensure all work meets company standards for quality and detail.
Requirements
* Good CAD knowledge (AutoDesk Inventor preferred, but not essential).
* Knowledge of metals and machining processes.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
* Team player with excellent communication skills.
* Understanding of GD&T principles.
* Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar), though not essential.
* Experience in machining, BOM creation, and technical documentation would be nice, but again, not essential.
