We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting a busy finance team with a focus on purchase ledger and wider month-end processes. This role offers variety and the chance to get involved in both day-to-day transactional work and elements of management accounts.
What you’ll be doing
* Processing purchase orders, invoices and payment runs
* Managing supplier statements and resolving queries
* Assisting with month-end duties, including accruals and reconciliations
* Supporting the production of management accounts
* Helping streamline processes and ensuring accuracy across the ledger
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience in an accounts role, ideally with strong purchase ledger exposure
* Comfortable working with PO systems and high volumes of invoices
* Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
* Ability to work to deadlines and support the wider finance team at month-end
* A proactive and adaptable team player
