We currently have the following opportunity:
As part of a team, you will perform maintenance tasks throughout the Perth area, such as grass and hedge cutting, pesticide application, litter collection. You should have a horticultural background with good plant knowledge. You may also be required to carry out other duties such as assisting with burials, street sweeping, refuse collection, and other Environment Service tasks as needed. You must be able to handle the physical demands of the role. Additional duties to support other services may also be required.
You must be able to complete paperwork related to the role, such as timesheets, work schedules, and maintenance records. A working knowledge of computers and smartphones would be advantageous.
The Environment Service has shifted from traditional Monday-Friday shifts; this role involves 3 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off, with hours varying seasonally.
Skills & Experience Required
To succeed, you should be physically fit, capable of walking and carrying loads over rough ground in all weather conditions. A strong constitution regarding adverse odours is necessary, and overtime may be required.
A Cat C1E driving license is essential, with a current CPC being desirable.
