Job Description

Think Accountancy and Finance are working with a rapidly expanding and forward-moving business in their search for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role sitting at the centre of a busy order-to-cash function, offering great exposure and a chance to build strong, practical finance experience.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a sociable, energetic environment and is looking to develop solid experience over the next couple of years in a high-performing team.

The office is based in Watford and they have a hybrid model of 4 days in the office and 1 from home.

The Role

You'll take ownership of core Accounts Receivable processes across a large customer base, playing a key part in keeping cash flowing and ensuring billing accuracy.

Responsibilities include:

* Managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable activities across multiple billing cycles
* Raising and issuing invoices, and producing customer statements
* Posting cash and resolving any discrepancies
* Supporting accurate billing, including additional charges and adjustments
* Investigating and resolving account queries in collaboration with internal teams
* Managing a busy inbox and responding to customer queries promptly
* Supporting month-end processes, including debtor reporting and reconciliations
* Assisting with system improvements and process enhancements

About You

This role is ideal for someone who:

* Has some prior experience in finance, particularly Accounts Receivable or credit control
* Is confident with Excel and comfortable handling data
* Has strong communication skills and enjoys speaking with people at all levels
* Is proactive, organised, and happy working in a fast-paced environment
* Takes pride in being reliable and getting things done

You'll be someone who enjoys being part of a team, gets stuck in, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to your work.
