Position: Metalwork Site Fitter Location: Base is Hucknall but we work all over the country Responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings, plans, and blueprints to execute precise metalwork installations. Fabricate, assemble, and install a wide range of architectural metalwork, including handrails, balustrades, canopies, and custom structural steel projects. Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless coordination of installation schedules and timelines. Conduct on-site measurements, assessments, and adjustments to ensure accurate fitting and alignment of metalwork elements. Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards throughout all installation processes. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that arise during installation. Maintain a clean and organised work environment on site. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as an Architectural Metalwork Installer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Current CSCS card, IPAF, working at Height, SSSTS qualifications would be beneficial. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, and specifications. In-depth knowledge of various metalwork materials, fabrication techniques, and installation methods. Strong understanding of safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with established guidelines. Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools relevant to metalwork installation. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and contractors. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
