An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring individual to join our experienced, highly skilled Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Nursing Team,

The successful candidate will display excellent communication skills and be able to confidently liaise with all multi-disciplinary team members to ensure the safe, timely care of our patients.
Our IBD nurse specialist team cover a variety of demands including our patient advice line, outpatient clinics and inpatient support to name just a few.
Our team is tight knit and work well together, very supportive of each other. This vacancy would be suitable for a nurse with gastroenterology experience and ideally with experience of caring for patients with IBD
Main duties of the job
The role will require you to:
To work independently and within part of the nurse specialist team.
Duties will include reviewing patients in the clinic environment, and inpatient setting
Educating patients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment.
Assessing and triaging patients via the telephone advice line
Organisation and monitoring of biologic and immunosuppressant medication.

* Communication and Relationship Skills
* Team player but able to manage their own workload independently
* Professional telephone manner
* Must be able to clearly and accurately convey information gathered for verbal and written reports
* Experience of clinical decision making
* Experience in caring for patients with inflammatory bowel disease
* Excellent time keeping and time management
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to work within a team and independently and use own initiative
