Maintenance Team Leader
Salary: £60,108 + 8% Pension + Private Healthcare + Share Scheme + Excellent Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Nights

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader or an ambitious Maintenance Engineer looking to step into a leadership role within a market‑leading FMCG environment.
You’ll be responsible for leading a team of engineers, driving equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring engineering standards are maintained across your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers.
- Ensure machinery and production equipment are maintained to the highest standards of reliability and performance.
- Organise and prioritise maintenance activities and engineer workloads.
- Manage and update maintenance documentation and job records.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels of engineering spares and consumables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Act as the technical expert for your shift, supporting engineers with fault finding and problem‑solving.
- Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely and in line with food safety and health & safety standards.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Team Leader or Supervisory position.
- Alternatively, be a highly motivated Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership.
- An electrical bias with strong fault‑finding skills.
- A minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical discipline preferred).
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, manufacturing or a similar automated production environment.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and team development.
