We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Driver, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £16.17 per hour Summary: The Driver will be responsible for the safe, professional, and compassionate transport of passengers, many of whom may be vulnerable or require specialist care. Candidates must hold a full, clean driving licence including the PCV (D category) entitlement. Responsibilities: Safely operate fleet vehicles, ensuring the welfare and dignity of all passengers, including wheelchair users. Complete and maintain accurate vehicle records, including fare collection and vehicle checks. Follow all relevant transport legislation, including tachograph and driver hours regulations. Wear issued PPE and comply with all health and safety protocols. Identify and report any issues relating to vehicles, passenger safety, or service delivery. Qualifications: Full and clean driving license with PCV (D category) entitlement Emergency First Aid qualification Manual Handling training Knowledge of wheelchair securement and safe transport practices Essentials: Minimum of 4 years of driving experience Proven experience in transporting passengers, including vulnerable individuals Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
