Domestic Gas Engineer (Islington Council)
We are seeking three Domesitc Gas Engineers to join the team here at Islington Council. As a Domestic Gas Engineer you will carry out a range of gas work on domestic systems and appliances within the Council’s housing stock, as scheduled or directed by line managers, supervisors or dispatchers.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine landlord gas safety checks, fault diagnosis, repairs and the installation of parts for both modern and traditional heating and hot‑water appliances.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, maintaining good first‑time fix rates to provide safe and suitable housing for Islington Council residents.
* Work in accordance with legislative requirements, industry guidance and best practice, following manufacturers’ instructions.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* ACS qualifications: CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, Wat1, CHR1, CPA1 and post‑qualifying experience.
