About the team:
We support children from pre‑birth up to 15 years, whose names have been included on the Child Protection Register and children aged 0‑15 years who are subject of public care proceedings. The team works to safeguard children while supporting families to make lasting positive change. Our key role is to ensure that children remain with their families where possible and to ensure that children's needs are being met appropriately and their voices heard. A strengths‑based approach is promoted within the team, working alongside children and their families where matters are in pre‑proceedings, before the court and/or via child protection and 'child looked after' care plans. The team remains responsible for cases until a longer‑term plan is agreed or upon the conclusion of care proceedings, at which point the case is transferred/stepped down to an alternative team or closed.
