Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist
Employment Type: Contract Outside IR35

GPSI is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and support a leading aerospace client. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Aerospace interior seats delivered by suppliers, driving continuous improvement, and leading supplier corrective actions. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, improving supplier performance, and maintaining high standards in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform source inspections at supplier sites to evaluate the quality of components and systems.
2. Lead supplier quality reviews and initiate corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
3. Assess and monitor overall supplier performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
4. Drive root cause analysis and request detailed corrective action plans from suppliers.
5. Provide ongoing visibility and updates on open quality actions to internal stakeholders via PowerPoint presentations and progress reviews.
6. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between internal teams and suppliers.
Required Qualifications and Skills
7. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Technical Diploma in Aerospace (or equivalent experience).
8. Minimum of 5 years' experience in supplier quality assurance or quality control within the aerospace industry.
9. Experience in AS9100 and other quality standards.
10. Lean Six Sigma certification.
11. Proven project management skills, particularly in managing quality-focused initiatives.
12. Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments, resolve issues quickly, and drive improvements.
13. Strong experience in root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
14. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
15. Flexibility to travel locally and regionally, occasionally on short notice.
