Student Support Role - Inclusion Officer
Outwood Academy City Fields seeks an Inclusion Officer who will work as an integral part of our school community. The successful candidate will support the SENDCo to identify and respond to the needs of all pupils, promote equality and uphold the values of our inclusive culture.
About The Role
The Inclusion Officer will contribute to a classroom environment that values respect, recognition and mutual support. You will be expected to assist with the daily support of the academy and ensure all pupils are catered for during their time in the school setting.
Responsibilities
* Work with the SENDCo to identify and respond to the educational and welfare needs of pupils.
* Support SEND, disadvantaged and vulnerable groups by ensuring appropriate support is offered.
* Prioritise workload, adhere to strict deadlines and maintain the SEND Code of Practice.
* Liaise with parents, external agencies and internal staff in a professional, prompt and confidential manner.
* Act as a role model, manage the team and promote a culture of high ambition for pupils.
Qualifications
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education principles.
* Ability to work independently and as a team member, with proven experience in pupil support.
* Experience in inclusive or special educational need settings is preferred.
