The Opportunity
The Senior Construction Delivery Manager will support the delivery of an area within a specific section of the Works. This responsibility extends to all construction and related activities, reporting to the Area Construction Lead. It includes logistics planning and implementation in collaboration with the site-wide logistics team, programming and planning, monitoring and close-out of authorities’ obligations and conditions, and client liaison.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Acting as a subject matter expert in their area of expertise (MEH), supporting the contract partners in their delivery of the work packages to enable efficient and timely delivery of their sections of work.
* Providing support to the Construction Delivery Managers by recommending temporary measures to mitigate safety and/or quality concerns. Following up with appropriate actions to avoid work cessation, including document review and assurance audits.
* Driving on-site work and ensuring contractor performance aligns with the agreed programme.
* Escalating concerns to the Area Construction Lead and providing solutions to recover or mitigate issues, following dialogue with the contractor.
* Reviewing daily site logs to ensure detailed reporting up to the organization level and escalating issues via detailed reports.
* Coordinating with site functions (H&S, quality, surveillance, commercial, project controls, logistics) and other Senior Construction Delivery Managers to maintain good communication and timely reporting. Attending pre-start briefings and supporting key messages delivery to contractors.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
* Experience in delivering projects with multiple stakeholders, including optioneering, construction sequencing, recovery planning, and resource allocation.
* Good understanding of CDM Regulations obligations.
* Ability to write informative, concise reports and present findings professionally.
* Experience motivating contract partners and fostering trust and understanding.
* Leadership skills to manage site operations effectively.
* Results-focused mindset, initiative, and accountability for delivering excellence, value, and quality.
