Role Overview
We are looking for a Pre-Construction Coordinator/Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of renewable energy projects from early planning through to construction readiness. This role is ideal for a candidate with a few years’ experience in the energy, infrastructure or construction sectors who is ready to progress into project management while gaining exposure to end-to-end project delivery.
You’ll work closely with internal delivery teams, developers, consultants and engineers to coordinate pre-construction activities, manage technical and programme requirements, and ensure projects are fully prepared for construction and hand-over.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Delivery
* Assist with the planning and coordination of pre-construction activities, including discharge of pre-commencement conditions, surveys and site assessments.
* Support the development and maintenance of pre-construction programmes and milestones.
* Assist with the review and coordination of technical documentation and planning deliverables.
Stakeholder Coordination
* Liaise with developers, consultants, planning authorities, surveyors, and internal teams to progress projects through pre-construction.
* Coordinate technical inputs and information flows to enable timely approvals and handover.
Project Readiness & Compliance
* Help prepare and organise key surveys (technical, environmental, ground investigations).
* Support compliance with statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.
* Assist in preparing documentation for approvals and permits.
Transition to Construction
* Work with construction delivery leads to ensure seamless handover and continuity between pre-construction and build phases.
* Support internal teams in preparation for mobilisation and execution.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* 1–4 years’ experience in construction, engineering or renewables (pre-construction, coordinator or similar role).
* Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks.
Desirable
* Renewable energy sector exposure (solar, wind or BESS).
* Project coordination experience with surveys, planning conditions or technical deliverables.
* Understanding of construction / project lifecycle and readiness processes.
* Project management or construction planning qualification (desirable but not essential).
