A growing workplace solutions provider is looking to appoint aSales Development Managerto help drive the expansion of itsFacilities Management division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven FM sales professional to play a key role in growing a developing service line, working directly with senior leadership to secure new contracts and build long-term client relationships.
Working acrosscommercial, industrial and public sector environments, the business is known for deliveringtailored solutions, strong service delivery and long-term client partnerships. The Sales Development Manager will be responsible fordriving new business across the Facilities Management offering, managing opportunities from initial prospecting through to contract award. You’ll lead thefull sales lifecycle, including pipeline generation, tender submissions, pricing, and contract negotiations. This role suits someone who iscommercially minded, proactive and confident winning FM contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and win new Facilities Management contracts across public and private sector clients
2. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline with a focus on long-term contracted revenue
3. Develop relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
4. Represent the business at meetings, presentations and industry networking events
5. Lead the full tender process includingPQQs, ITTs and framework submissions
6. Produce high-quality commercial and technical responses
7. Work with operational and finance teams to develop competitive bids
8. Estimate costs for hard and soft FM services
9. Develop pricing models that ensure strong margins and contract performance
10. Understand mobilisation costs, risk, TUPE implications and contract structure
11. Support negotiations and final contract agreements
Essential
12. Proven track record inFacilities Management sales or business development
13. Strong experience intendering, bidding and pricing FM contracts
14. Ability toestimate service delivery costs and forecast contracted revenue
15. Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
16. Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working autonomously
17. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
18. Experience sellingHard FM, Soft FM or Integrated FM solutions
19. Knowledge ofpublic sector procurement frameworks
20. Understanding ofTUPE and long-term FM contract mobilisation
