Our client is currently recruiting a Generator Technician. The role will be on a 6-month contract (ideally temp to prem) and will be located at their Aberdeenshire workshop, with travel to offshore / onshore sites on an adhoc basis. ROLE The Generator Technician (electrical) will take responsibility for supporting and servicing all products and clients for the Portable Power business within Europe. Your existing knowledge within electrical servicing of diesel driven generators and ancillary equipment will be critical to your success in this role. As Generator Technician the key to this role will delivering technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing and maintenance support to our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Undertake operations of rental/sale packages in line with company procedures, including but not limited to: Scheduled maintenance Repairs Enhancements/Refurbishment P&ID walk downs Electrical completion checks Factory acceptance tests Function/loop checks Instrument checks Site acceptance tests Liaise with Workshop Supervisor, Project teams, Management, Clients and Vendors relating to their operational activities Prepare, review and fulfil work orders required for these operational activities Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, advice/recommendations, liaising with engineering departments as necessary. Participate in out of hours on-call rota, providing industry leading service support REQUIREMENTS Qualifications: City & Guildsth Edition (desirable) City & Guilds HV Switching & System Control 0672 (desirable) COMPEX (desirable) Offshore survival ticket (desirable) Experience: Electrical knowledge within installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance environments include offshore (essential) Interpretation and marking up of engineering drawings (essential) Deep Sea control systems (desirable) PLC programming skills (desirable) Cummins, Iveco, Perkins engine experience (desirable) Skills: Knowledge of industry standards (essential) Diesel driven generators (desirable) Gas driven generators (desirable)
