Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager for its client at Poulton le Fylde.

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations. Previous experience managing a children’s home is essential, ideally with a proven track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
1. Provide strong leadership and management to a diverse residential care team committed to excellence in childcare.
2. Promote and support the healthy development of children and young people in residential care.
3. Protect young people from risks to their health, welfare, and development both inside and outside the home.
4. Offer additional support to young people experiencing crises or stress.
5. Encourage young people to take responsibility for their lives, involving them in planning and supporting their independence.
6. Ensure smooth and well-planned transitions for children, especially admissions and discharges.
7. Implement consistent practices aligned with the home’s policies and procedures.
8. Apply and uphold the Statement of Purpose for the home.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Children’s Act 1989 & 2004, Children’s Home Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted recommendations.
10. Deploy staff effectively to meet operational needs, including weekends and school holidays.
11. Chair meetings as required and perform on-call duties.
12. Lead the Ofsted inspection process to achieve the highest possible evaluations.
13. Maintain weekly and monthly checks aligned with the self-evaluation cycle to support Reg 45 audits.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
25. Relevant professional qualifications, ideally Level 5 Leadership & Management
26. Manual driving licence
27. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
28. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Manager preferred
