We partner with some of the largest retailers in the UK and Ireland, focusing on delivering nationwide rollouts of the latest retail technology and complete store fit-outs. We're seeking a Solution Expert to join our UK & Ireland Product team. You'll work closely with Account Managers to help grocery retailers adopt and get maximum value from StrongPoint solutions, including order picking software, Q-commerce collection lockers, and smart vending.
This role blends pre-sales consultancy, solution design, and hands-on enablement. You'll be the go-to expert for questions like:
Can your solution support this process?
How should we integrate this into our store operations?
How should we staff and run this in practice?
Can we customize this interface?
You will also:
Collaborate with European technology teams to unlock solution potential.
Work with the Head of Product to gather customer feedback, prioritize UK/Ireland requirements, and propose enhancements.
Stay up to date on market trends and identify opportunities for new tech partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Support sales by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities, contributing to proposals and RFPs, and attending key meetings as a product expert.
Advise customers on StrongPoint products, translating needs into practical solutions.
Deliver tailored product demos, proof-of-concepts, and pilots.
Support implementation and training to ensure smooth transitions from pilot to live operations.
Maintain internal documentation, playbooks, and best practices for UK & Ireland.
Prioritize local product requirements and trials, feeding structured feedback into the product roadmap.
Monitor grocery retail trends, competitor offerings, and emerging fulfillment models.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Experience in grocery/retail operations or retail tech/SaaS.
Strong understanding of day-to-day store operations, ideally including online grocery/click & collect/home delivery.
Some product owner/manager experience, working with development teams.
Comfortable discussing technical integrations and operational realities.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Experienced in cross-functional collaboration.
Organized, structured, and able to manage multiple stakeholders.
Willing to travel across the UK & Ireland.
Desirable:
Pre-sales, solution consultant, or product specialist experience.
Hands-on experience with order picking, lockers, smart vending, or store systems (POS, ERP, WMS, e-commerce).
Familiarity with basic analytics for productivity and performance monitoring.
