A rare opportunity has arisen to join our team at Bughties Nursing Home in the role of Maintenance person.
Bughties nursing home is a beautiful Tudor style building located in the residential heart of Broughty Ferry. We enjoy many of the original period features, extensive gardens and picturesque views over the River Tay. We provide long term nursing care to 28 frail elderly residents
We have opportunity or a full time maintenance person 40hr per week (over 5 days). There is a requirement to cover on call, out of hours and weekends on a rota with our sister homes in the area.
Duties will include:
routine weekly and monthly statutory checks for Health and Safety including fire safety system, nurse call, water management etc
routine repairs of equipment as necessary
minor redecoration and refurbishment as necessary
Essential qualities:
high level of DIY skills
conscientious about quality of work
good interpersonal skills to work within a team and interact with residents
Desirable qualities:
Experience in plumbing, electrical or Joinery
