Overview

We are currently looking for an Engineer who will be working in the Building Operating Unit to effectively and professionally plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the engineering aspects of sub-contract packages associated with the construction works, including demolition, reinforced concrete, excavation, drainage and structural steelworks, to assist with the successful delivery of a prestigious commercial mixed‑use development in central London.
As the Engineer, you will
* Lead site engineering activities in line with Skanska’s Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
* Support the Senior Engineer in ensuring full compliance across all project requirements.
* Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
* Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
* Conduct project‑specific Quality Assurance inspections and checks to maintain high standards.
* Oversee all temporary works activities, including design compliance, RAMS preparation, installation, inspections, and safe loading/unloading procedures.
We are looking for
* Minimum qualification: BTEC HNC/HND, BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience delivering projects of similar scale and complexity.
* Strong quality management capabilities with a focus on achieving high standards.
* Solid commercial awareness to support effective project decision‑making.
* Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Excellent team player, able to collaborate effectively within large, multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
