An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) at Poole Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team. The Surgical Assessment Unit is a 15-bedded fast paced unit in which patients present with a wide variety of emergency surgical conditions. Patients are referred under the care of General Surgical, as well as from GP surgeries, other hospitals, our outpatient clinics and our emergency department. No two days are the same!
Responsibilities
* Support delivery of high standard of care to patients, relatives and staff with dignity and respect.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and other members of staff.
* Be flexible in working a variety of shift patterns including night duty.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Applications are invited from individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* This role requires an approved Care Certificate.
