PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
• Due to the continued international growth and success of the Firm, we are looking for an additional individual to join the Billing team, contributing to the success of managing the firmwide Billing process for the UK and international offices.
• As a Legal Biller, you will process bill requests and client matter maintenance requests, ensuring the accuracy of matter information and that bills are submitted efficiently in line with client terms.

THE TEAM
• The team, currently based across the Leeds, Manchester, and Paris offices, is managed by the Billing Manager, and supervised by two Team Leaders. With the additional support of two Senior Billers, the team has significant knowledge across all areas of legal billing.
• The team liaise daily with a variety of stakeholders across the business, including fee earner's and PA's as well as supporting the Group Finance operational teams, Credit Control, Cashiers, Reporting and Financial Control.
• The team supports system/process projects across the Group Finance directorate and there are opportunities to be involved as part of the project team to provide feedback and test changes.
• You will work as part of an established team, with a significant track record of internal promotion and career development. We are committed to supporting and providing progression opportunities at all levels across the Firm.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
• Bill processing UK and International offices via 3E Workflow
• Managing departmental mailbox queries, including write offs and general billing queries via the Service Now dashboard and answering phone call queries
• Raising credit notes, amending and reissuing invoices within the 3E system.
• Liaising with the Cashiers team in relation to queries to ensure queries resolved
• Liaising with the Tax team regarding any VAT queries to ensure matters are billed with the correct VAT treatment.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
• At least 12 months legal billing experience required
• Strong VAT knowledge is required to ensure the necessary support for our international client base.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, French or German to support the international offices would be highly desirable.
• Knowledge of 3E is desirable.
• Previous knowledge and experience of eBilling is desirable due to cross-function working between teams at busy times in this area.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with evidenced experience of engaging with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
• Have enthusiasm, resilience and ambition to find creative solutions to conflicting requirements, prioritising urgent requests as needed.
• Remain calm and optimistic in time sensitive situations or under pressure.
• Enthusiasm about the development of your billing skill set and continuous learning.
