Clinical Lead – Managed Service Network (MSN) for Functional Disorders
We are delighted to share this exciting opportunity to shape a new approach to support people with functional disorders in Grampian. Thanks to funding from the NHS Grampian Charity, we will be establishing and evaluating a Managed Service Network (MSN) model over the next two years. A significant amount of work has already been undertaken to identify the need for the service and secure funding, and we are now ready to begin developing.
Functional Disorder is a term used to describe health conditions with persistent physical symptoms and impairment that cannot be wholly explained, at this time, by any known disease or physical cause. Symptoms vary in severity and complexity causing debilitating problems, including increased physical disability, reduced ability to work, psychological distress and poor quality of life. Functional Disorders span across all ages, genders and demographics.
