Fieldwork Assistant

FieldMouse is seeking a proactive and outgoing Fieldwork Assistant to join our growing team. This is a remote role with occasional travel and quarterly team meetups across the UK.

FieldMouse is an award-winning fieldwork agency, specialising in recruiting participants for qualitative research. We have a social purpose of ensuring the fair representation of rural, regional, and rarely heard voices in all market and social research. Our team is based across Wales, Sussex, Lancashire, and South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit and telephone screen participants for our clients’ research projects
* Schedule fieldwork (e.g. focus groups and depth interviews)
* Maintain accurate participant records and data
* Ensure compliance with the MRS Code of Conduct
* Support the wider fieldwork team
* Communicate clearly with participants, colleagues and clients
* Occasionally support evening fieldwork (e.g. onboarding online focus groups)
Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Willingness to learn and adapt
* Ability to work independently and remotely
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Interest in rural issues and alignment with our social purpose
Desirable:
* Welsh language skills
* Driving licence
* Experience in communicating with members of the public e.g. in hospitality or retail or healthcare
* Experience in telesales or at an outbound call centre
* Good understanding of people and places of the UK
Working Hours and Flexibility
* Full-time: 35 hours/week (excluding lunch)
* Open to flexible arrangements, including a 4-day week (28 hours)

Location: 98% remote (UK-based)
