Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and dedicated Children's Registered Manager to lead the registration, development, and day-to-day operation of a new children's home situated in the rural Accrington area. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a high-quality residential service from the ground up, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional care, safeguarding and support to young people.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the registration process with Ofsted and ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Provide effective leadership to the care team, promoting a culture of high standards, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment that meets the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in partnership with local authorities, families and other professionals.
* Maintain strong and positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, inspectors, and local services.
* Oversee staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
* Take responsibility for the home's budget, administration, and day-to-day operations.
* Ensure the home is always operating in line with Ofsted regulations and is inspection-ready.
* Actively promote the wellbeing, rights, and aspirations of each young person in the home.
About You
* Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
* Strong working knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including The Children\'s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
* Proven track record in delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Resilient, compassionate and committed to child-centred practice.
* Full UK driving licence is preferred due to the rural location.
