Standard and Controls Engineer
Contract: 12 months (Extendable and Renewable every 6 months)
As an Engineer in Standards and Controls. You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplined team, assisting across multiple sites. Your key focus will be assisting and advising manufacturing engineering on manufacturing equipment technical issues, standards and specification writing, as well as supporting the planning and coordination of manufacturing facility requirements for new model introduction and model year changes you’ll oversee controls and standard input into new GME delivered projects in addition to investigating future technologies and feasibility for manufacturing. The department manage the delivery of facilities to equipment standards, specifically mechanical, electrical, programmable logic controller (PLC) software and robot programming software development in the manufacturing assembly operation areas.
Standard and Controls Engineer - Key Accountabilities:
* Provide technical expertise to team problem solving activities to accurately identify root cause and corrective actions.
* Maintain technical standards, project books and specifications for all Manufacturing systems in line with the departments Bill of Process, global standard operating practices and quality systems.
* Maintain interfaces specifications from shop floor PLC’s / Applications to manufacturing execution systems.
* Commission and work on machine monitoring / quality systems within production facilities.
Standard and Controls Engineer - What you’ll need:
* Experience and expertise in the specification, delivery, installation and launch of Control Systems. Preferably in an automotive or powertrain environment.
* Thorough understanding of machine electrical systems and designs in Manufacturing.
* Ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment
