Maintenance Technician Up to £43,000 P/A DOE Permanent | Bridgend Bridgestone Group are recruiting a multi skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical bias, on behalf of a long‑standing, market‑leading manufacturing site. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a highly automated, fast‑moving production environment and play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and improving complex machinery within the site’s converting operations. Key Responsibilities Act as the first response to equipment breakdowns, quickly diagnosing faults and delivering effective fixes. Accurately record all maintenance activities in the EAM system and raise follow‑up work orders where required. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment. Issue and manage permits to work, ensuring safe contractor supervision when required. Support product changeovers, machine resets, and performance optimisation tasks. Identify reliability improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain strong communication during shift handovers and uphold site Health & Safety standards at all times. Ensure accurate parts handling, stock usage, and EAM data entry. Work collaboratively with production crews and engineering teams to resolve recurring issues. Champion a preventative maintenance culture and support operator coaching where relevant. Experience in FMCG, converting lines, print & packaging, or continuous-process environments is highly desirable. Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding capabilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Relevant engineering/technical qualifications are preferred.
