The IT Programme Manager – Information Security oversees complex IT security projects, ensuring they align with risk management and compliance goals. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, stakeholder coordination, and driving security initiatives.
Working with IT leadership, PMO analysts, resource managers, and IT service users, you will lead a team of IT Project Managers and Business Analysts, supporting their development and ensuring effective project delivery.
The successful candidate will exemplify excellence in programme and project management, including shaping project plans, tracking progress, managing risks, resources, documentation, and ensuring successful IT project delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
* Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the information security programme.
* Align security initiatives with organizational goals in collaboration with leadership.
* Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resources with senior leadership.
* Monitor and communicate project status, performance, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
* Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors.
* Support the development and implementation of the security strategy.
* Identify security gaps and recommend solutions.
* Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
* Manage a team of IT project managers and Business Analysts, setting objectives, managing performance, coaching, and fostering collaboration.
* Act as a first-level escalation point for project issues.
* Identify and support process improvements.
* Coordinate project scheduling and approvals.
* Ensure project quality through effective communication and governance adherence.
Essential requirements:
* Degree in technology, project management, information security, or equivalent experience.
* Project Management certification (PMP).
* 8+ years in IT project management, with 5+ years in Cybersecurity.
* Experience managing enterprise security projects (e.g., DLP, DevSecOps).
* Knowledge of cloud security (Azure) and risk frameworks.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Teams, and Office 365.
* Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies.
* Customer service orientation.
Desirable qualities:
* Knowledge of ITIL practices; ITIL V3/V4 certification.
* Experience managing global or matrix teams.
* Broad technical knowledge of IT applications, services, and ISO standards.
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC.
* Experience working in a global corporate IT environment.
