GSL Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work closely with pupils who require additional guidance to thrive in the classroom for schools in Derby (DE6). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and helping learners grow in confidence.
About the Role:
As an LSA, you will provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping them to access learning, stay engaged, and feel supported throughout the school day.
Key Duties of an LSA:
* Support students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
* Encourage positive behaviour and social development
* Adapt learning resources to suit individual abilities
* Provide reassurance, structure, and consistency for pupils
Ideal LSA Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
* A calm, caring, and proactive approach
* Ability to follow behaviour support plans and learning strategies
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
