Position Summary

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Marine Fuels Marketer through June 30th at 11:59 PM. As a Marine Fuels Marketer you will play a pivotal role in the commercial sales and marketing of marine fuels to international shipping customers. This customer‑facing role is embedded within Chevron’s Global Supply & Trading organization and is essential to the success of its marine fuels business. Your core responsibilities will include marketing physical bunker fuels with a focus on Europe and supporting the Renewable Products Trading team in biodiesel and renewable diesel origination and trade execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with international shipping clients and trading partners.
  • Execute spot and term sales of marine fuels, maximizing commercial value.
  • Support biodiesel and renewable diesel origination efforts, including supplier engagement and market development.
  • Provide trade support to Renewable Products Trading, coordinating across scheduling, operations, and risk functions.
  • Monitor market trends, supply‑demand dynamics, and competitor activity across marine fuels and renewable products to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Represent Chevron externally in commercial negotiations and industry forums.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to align on logistics, credit, risk, compliance, and renewable product integration.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine fuels, trading, renewable fuels, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of marine fuel markets and/or renewable fuels markets, including regulatory and compliance requirements (EU ETS, FuelEU, RED III, IMO).
  • Excellent negotiation and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective communication skills across organizational levels and cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or related field).
  • Team player with ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and digital mindset.
  • Familiarity with biodiesel and renewable diesel supply chains, feedstocks, and trading dynamics.

Relocation and International Considerations

Relocation will not be considered. Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Chevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment visas or consider individuals on time‑limited visa status for this position.
