School of Geography and the Environment, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QY Join the dynamic School of Geography and the Environment as a Research Assistant in Forest Recovery, where you’ll contribute to pioneering research on ecosystem resilience in tropical and other ecosystems. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Dr David Moreno Mateos. You’ll support a vibrant, collaborative research group working primarily in tropical forests—but with opportunities to branch out into diverse ecosystems. From field to lab, your work will be central to understanding ecosystem resilience through genomics, soil science, and biodiversity research. Based primarily in our well-equipped labs, with opportunities for exciting fieldwork, you’ll help develop protocols, support student researchers, and contribute to high-impact publications. This role offers a unique chance to deepen your research skills while advancing vital work on the future of our forests.
