It takes all these things to build a strong, successful business and our door is always open to new talent ready to contribute to our growth and evolution. ​ ​ ​ ​ About the Role: We are seeking a Web Analytics Implementation Engineer to drive best-in-class instrumentation, analytics enablement, and data integrity across MEEM’s digital ecosystem. This is a hands-on role focused on analytics enablement, GTM configuration, and event tracking implementation, working closely with engineers and marketers to ensure high-quality, privacy-compliant data collection. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our digital analytics architecture, working hands-on across our codebase and Google Tag Manager environments to ensure accurate, consistent, and privacy-conscious tracking of user behavior. Although this role sits within a cross functional squad within our Digital Platform team, you will be working closely with Growth and Marketing teams to align analytics infrastructure with business goals, focusing on digital marketing platforms.​ ​ Responsibilities Analytics Instrumentation & Implementation Design, implement, and maintain custom analytics tracking across our Next.js website. Build and standardise event tracking frameworks and utilities in code. Collaborate with other Software Engineers where relevant to ensure seamless event instrumentation throughout the customer journey. Data Layer & Tag Management Debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving tracking issues in collaboration with engineers and growth team across internal and third-party digital analytics platforms, including GA4, digital marketing publishers (i.e Meta, Google Ads, Pinterest), and other external marketing tools (i.e. Contentsquare). Own the design and evolution of the site’s data Layer schema to support scalable, consistent, and reliable event tracking across all digital analytics platforms. Ensure the structure meets the needs of stakeholders across product, engineering, and marketing, and aligns with the measurement frameworks of the business. Work across Google Tag Manager (GTM) and the MEEM codebase to ensure accurate data flows for both analytics and performance monitoring. Platform Integration Integrate analytics SDKs (GA4, Meta Pixel, Segment, etc.) within both our application code and Google Tag Manager environments Help shape server-side tagging architecture and event streaming solutions where appropriate. Collaboration & Governance Partner with product, growth marketing, and data teams to scope tracking plans for business and product requirements, and translate them into robust technical implementations Act as the key liaison between engineering and marketing to align tracking strategy with business goals Document event schemas, data contracts, and instrumentation decisions to ensure consistent use across teams. Contribute to implementing broader privacy compliance and consent tracking efforts (e.g., cookie control, regulation-safe practices such as GDPR, customer data obfuscation and hashing). Oversight of third-party digital analytics audits where applicable. Collaborate closely with developers, product leads, and analysts during work refinement process to ensure embedding of analytics requirements into future feature delivery. ​ ​ Skills: Experience working closely with frontend developers, with comfort editing code to implement analytics tracking (e.g. via tag managers, SDKs, or embedded scripts). Willingness to grow your knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Next.js in order to successfully deliver analytics requirements, with support from other software engineers. Demonstrated experience implementing custom analytics tracking in production codebases. Demonstrated experience implementing Meta tracking and performance marketing tags (Pixel, CAPI for online and offline events). Deep familiarity with Google Tag Manager (GTM) including server-side containers and configuring event tags. Familiarity with GA4/GA4 data structure and event-based tracking frameworks. Ability to evaluate and optimize third-party scripts and analytics SDKs for performance impact, particularly on site load and interactivity metrics. Strong understanding of browser APIs, cookies, storage, and debugging tools (DevTools, Tag Assistant, etc.). Ability to implement comprehensive test automation using tools like Jest, React Testing Library and Playwright. Understanding of analytics schemas and data model governance. Preferred: Experience with analytics tools like GA4 and Content Square. Experience with Ometria. Exposure to A/B testing frameworks and experimentation setup. Familiarity with consent management platforms (e.g.OneTrust).
