Overview

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 0830–1630, consisting of 37 hours per week.
The posts will support the delivery of care based in the Emergency Dental Treatment Centre – Royal Alexandria Hospital, with the requirement of additional cross cover from base to other locations throughout the Public Dental Service within NHSGG&C.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit full‑time and part‑time Dental Receptionists to support all patient care for registered and unregistered patients within the Public Dental Service in NHS GG&C.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be the first point of contact for patients and other health professionals and will be involved in the provision of administration tasks to support all dental clinics and the wider team, including but not limited to paediatrics, adult special care, domiciliary care, unregistered and emergency care, undergraduate outreach clinic, and general anaesthetic theatre.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess excellent organisational and communication skills, have proficient use of computer systems and be able to prioritise their own workload. A working knowledge of electronic patient systems R4 Clinical Plus and Trakcare is desirable.
Visa and Sponsorship
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Hours
Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full‑time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.
