Job Title: Technical Solutions Lead
Location: Durrington/Falmer (1 day minimum in the office)

Salary: Up to £45k depending on skills and experience
About the role:
As a Technical Solutions Lead, you will play a key role in driving performance improvement and change across the Wastewater directorate. You’ll investigate processes, analyse corporate data, identify root causes, and develop practical, evidence-based solutions to tackle real industry challenges.
Working within the Operational Planning & Improvement Team, you’ll have the freedom to innovate, explore new technologies, streamline processes, and see the impact of your work first-hand.
What you will be responsible for:
In this role, you’ll use your analytical skills, technical expertise, and business insight to shape change initiatives that are grounded in data and aligned with organisational goals. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels – researching and interpreting data, coordinating site audits, mapping processes, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting the delivery of effective solutions.
1. Gather and analyse data from across the business to produce clear, evidence‑based reports and strategic recommendations.
2. Lead solution development projects with cross‑functional teams, diagnosing root causes and improving inefficient processes and systems.
3. Develop plans and procedures that support operational effectiveness, efficiency improvements, and compliance/pollution reduction initiatives, including management information, KPIs, and governance.
4. Engage stakeholders across the business to understand current and future needs.
5. Facilitate collaboration through meetings, workshops, performance sessions, hubs, and training.
