The role offers a salary of £51,802 - £53,886 per annum, with 37 hours per week. It is a Two Year Fixed-Term Contract.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Finance Department to support the capital finance functions of the Authority. This is a great opportunity to work within a dedicated team managing an annual budget of over £65 million and Fixed Assets exceeding £500 million.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support quarterly monitoring of Capital Budgets, reporting to members with any additions and changes.
* Assist Service Managers, Senior Leadership, and members with financial advice on all Capital projects, expenditure, and income including grants, CIL, and Section 106 contributions.
* Ensure the accuracy of past and future capital accounting, including reviewing Fixed Asset accounts, Assets Under Construction, and year-end adjustments such as depreciation and revaluation reserve movements.
* Support Capital Financing reporting, including completing statutory returns.
* Provide regular updates to stakeholders through reports and relevant documents.
* Assist in the preparation of the year-end Statement of Accounts, including all capital adjustments and notes.
Candidate Requirements:
Demonstrate the ability to work accurately to deadlines, interpret legislation, and possess strong ICT and report writing skills. In-depth knowledge of integrated Asset modules and their transactions into Revenue and Balance Sheet accounts is essential.
The role is suitable for a CCAB qualified/part-qualified Accountant or a Senior AAT Accountant with significant experience in Capital Finances within the Public Sector.
Additional Details:
The post is primarily remote, with requirements to attend Warwick District offices or sites as needed. Travel costs will be reimbursed. Office and hybrid working arrangements are available.
