Responsibilities:
* Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Carry out housekeeping according to Hygiene Rules.
* Ensure all lines are supplied with materials (e.g., glass, cardboard) to operate at full capacity.
* Identify and resolve problems within standard operating procedures to meet customer packing specifications.
* Remove cullet and contaminated materials to designated site locations. Operate a palletiser or forklift truck as needed.
* Maintain forklift trucks according to the supplier’s schedule.
* Ensure decorated ware is packed for transport and check all cold end equipment (e.g., squeeze testers, coating sprays).
* Document all checks and observations, monitor ware on the production line, and conduct shift change debriefs.
Required skills / qualifications:
* Manual packing of glass in case of equipment failure.
* Basic understanding of mechanical malfunctions.
* Mechanical knowledge/experience is preferred; opportunities for on-the-job training and career progression in engineering are available.
