Job Title: Breakfast & After School Playworker
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Primary Schools in Watford WD24 5TY &/or WD24 5JW
Hours: up to 22.5 hours per week - during Term time
*This job role is to cover for staff sickness, staff holidays and busier sessions - more permanent hours will be offered once they become available in the future*
Operational Hours during Term Time: Monday to Friday - Hours: 7.30 - 9.00 & 15.00 - 18.00
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Contracts Available: Casual

Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more ensuring they are age-appropriate.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.

* Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
* Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
* Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
* Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
* Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date and completed as needed.
* Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
* Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
* Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
* Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Two references, one from your most recent employer and the other from a childcare setting (if applicable).
* Be prepared for a DBS check to be conducted on your behalf.
* Must comply with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
* You must meet these requirements to be eligible for the hiring process.
