Job Description:
We are the leading provider of professional services to the middle market globally, our purpose is to instill confidence in a world of change, empowering our clients and people to realize their full potential. Our exceptional people are the key to our unrivaled, inclusive culture and talent experience and our ability to be compelling to our clients. You’ll find an environment that inspires and empowers you to thrive both personally and professionally. There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.
RSM's International Tax practice consists of professionals nationwide with broad experience in international tax matters. The practice advises clients on outbound and inbound structure planning, foreign tax credit, global tax planning, transfer pricing analysis, compliance, ASC 740, information reporting and withholding (including FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS)), foreign assignment planning and general international business planning.
We are seeking a candidate with strong experience in U.S. backup, nonresident alien, and FATCA reporting and withholding tax matters, as well as experience with CRS, to join our International Tax practice. The individual will be part of our Washington National Tax Practice and can be based out of any West Coast location.
This position provides leadership and technical support for GIR services, covering areas such as withholding tax on cross-border transactions, double tax treaties, outbound risk and process reviews, FATCA, and CRS. The candidate will be responsible for generating revenue and driving growth and profitability of the GIR practice.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA, EA, JD, or MST, with at least 10 years of tax information reporting and withholding experience, and 7 years of managing tax professionals. Strong knowledge of IRC Chapters 3, 4, and 61, experience with IRS exams, and a portable book of business are preferred.
We offer a competitive benefits package, support for wellbeing, flexible schedules, and are committed to equal employment opportunities. We do not intend to hire entry-level candidates requiring sponsorship, but recent graduates with 1-2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
