Job Description
Enfield Council’s award‑winning Blue Green Infrastructure team is delivering a wide range of innovative flood risk management projects, including wetlands, rain gardens, natural flood management and other landscape restoration measures, to meet the growing needs of this dynamic area of North London. This role will assist with this programme of work and other Lead Local Flood Authority and land drainage responsibilities, including working with developers to ensure new planning applications include best practice SuDS measures.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with delivery of SuDS and other Civil Engineering projects.
* Support feasibility, surveys, design, site supervision, project management or contract administration.
* Make day‑to‑day decisions to deliver projects and work programmes, under guidance of Principal Engineer and senior members.
* Communicate effectively with residents, other third parties and handle relevant queries.
* Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, prioritise workloads and adapt to change.
Qualifications
* Degree/HNC or equivalent experience.
* Experience of assisting delivery of SuDS and other Civil Engineering projects.
* Ability to work on own initiative with responsibility for making day‑to‑day decisions.
