Imago partnerships & impact officer

Liverpool (Merseyside)
£39,906 - £46,049 a year
Posted: 12 November
Offer description

We are excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships and Impact Officer as part of the core operations team of Imago, the Imagery Data Service. Imago is one of a set of new data services funded by ESRC's Smart Data Research UK (SDR-UK) programme. The Imago data service is a collaborative effort led by the University of Liverpool, Newcastle University, and Harvard University, and aims to transform the usability, utility, and usage of satellite imagery in social research and policy. Imago is developing data products in collaboration with data, distribution, and application partners that will unlock the potential of satellite imagery to solve some of the most urgent challenges facing the UK - especially where environmental vulnerability, urban development and housing, and health and wellbeing is concerned. Working with a team of both academics and professional colleagues, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of substantial projects with the potential for achieving wide-reaching impact, and you will make a key contribution to Imagos visibility and offerings. You will work directly with the Imago Director and Service Manager to implement Imagos strategy and will work closely with the Outreach and Engagement Officer to ensure that Imago achieves impact. As Partnerships and Impact Officer you will support the senior project leads with oversight of the full extent of Imago data products and research and will work to maximise their wider impact. Working with Imago team members and application and delivery partners, you will be responsible for helping ensure that Imago products deliver appropriate outcomes and impact; and for supporting the development of a framework for collating data and narratives on research impact. With these frameworks in place, you will help track data product development, usage, and requests and promote collaboration with stakeholders. Working with the wider Imago team, you will help coordinate promotion of data and research outputs, including drafting blog and social media posts. You will play a critical role in maintaining a record of key findings, events, and impact as part of our quarterly and annual reporting to the ESRC. You will also play an important role in advising Imago Director and the Service Manager on appropriate funding opportunities for enhancing Imago's research impact potential, and leading application processes on its behalf. This post is fixed term until 28 February 2029. The School of Environmental Sciences is an Athena SWAN Gold Award holder. We particularly welcome applications from scholars who identify with groups who continue to be underrepresented and who face barriers to inclusion in higher education. We believe that a diverse and supportive environment, bringing different perspectives to our work and allowing people to blossom is the best platform. Should you require any further details on the role, please contact Professor Dani Arribas-Bel ( d.arribas-bel@liverpool.ac.uk ). Commitment to Diversity The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome applications from all genders/gender identities, Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds, individuals living with a disability, and members of the LGBTQIA community.
