Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our weekend team in Leigh, United Kingdom. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing personalized, unhurried care in their own homes during weekends.
* Provide personal care assistance including mobility support, bathing, and grooming
* Prepare nutritious meals and beverages to meet individual dietary needs and preferences
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients
* Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support
* Assist with basic health-related tasks such as medication reminders and monitoring (training provided)
* Support clients with light housekeeping duties and daily living activities
* Document care provided by using our secured password protected app
* Travel between client homes within the Leigh and surrounding area to provide consistent weekend coverage
* Respond to client needs with patience, empathy, and professionalism
* Follow individualized care plans and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
* Legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom
* Valid full driving license with access to reliable personal transportation
* Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
* Compassionate and caring personality with genuine interest in helping others
* Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
* Strong reliability and punctuality, particularly for weekend scheduling commitments
* Ability to work independently while following established care protocols
* Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and weekend schedules
* Willingness to complete background checks and obtain DBS clearance
* Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in home care settings
* Previous care experience preferred but not required - comprehensive training provided
* Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and client dignity
