We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Egg Store Manager to support the Egg Store Manager in the efficient day-to-day operations of the Egg Store. This role is integral to the Agriculture division, liaising with both internal teams and external customers to ensure smooth logistics, compliance, and documentation management. The individual will also provide managerial cover when required and assist in export sales across the Agri Business unit. Key Responsibilities Coordinate egg collections from farms and deliveries to customers. Accurately record egg movements using MTech systems. Communicate effectively with drivers and hatchery personnel. Maintain biosecurity measures, ensuring all personnel are briefed and trained. Prepare and manage egg export and security documentation. Ensure adherence to HGV Fleet safety standards and legislative veterinary requirements. Maintain Known Consigner status for the store. Liaise with farmers and compliance managers to uphold industry standards. Ensure health & safety regulations are complied with. Provide cover for the Agri Business Sales Manager when necessary. Essential: Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability. Proven management skills, overseeing operatives and drivers. Clean driving license. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Computer literacy, including familiarity with industry software. Desirable: Commercial awareness and understanding of export documentation. Familiarity with the Known Consigner Scheme and MTech Systems. 3rd Level Qualification, preferably in Agriculture or a related field. Knowledge of HGV driver rules and regulations. Performance & Compliance Measures Ensuring timely and accurate data entry for egg movements. Maintaining egg hygiene and quality standards. Organising and managing Egg Store personnel efficiently. Being competent in emergency response procedures. Enforcing and monitoring safety standards within the store and fleet. Health & Safety Responsibilities Implement and oversee site health & safety policies. Ensure employees receive proper training and supervision on safety practices. Conduct COSHH risk assessments for hazardous substances. Investigate and report accidents and dangerous occurrences. Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards throughout the store. Set an example in safe working practices.
