Finance Officer
Location: Stevenage, SG1
Pay Rate: £17.85 per hour
Contract: Temporary (with potential extension)

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per weekAbout the Role
You will be supporting the Client Finance Team, who manage the finances of individuals who lack capacity to do so themselves under appointeeship and deputyship arrangements. Due to increased workload, the team is seeking additional support from detail‑driven, proactive Finance Officers.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a varied caseload
Processing payments accurately and promptly
Handling bill payments including rent, utilities, and care fees
Completing detailed budget planners
Ensuring correct income is allocated to each case
Liaising with internal teams, care providers, and external organisations
Using multiple case management systems to maintain accurate records
Skills & Experience Required
Strong attention to detail
Previous finance experience
Excellent numerical ability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Confident using various case management systems
Strong Excel skills (formulas, spreadsheets, data handling)
